Classification of zeolite filter materials
Feb 01, 2020
We know that zeolites have extremely strong adsorption properties, so they are also widely used. But many people don't know what classification of zeolite filter material, let's understand its classification together.
1. Natural clinoptilolite filter material: Natural zeolite is a white or brick red aluminosilicate mineral. It is a weakly acidic cation exchanger. It is artificially introduced into the active component to give it new ion exchange or adsorption capabilities. The adsorption capacity is also increased accordingly. It is mainly used to soften the water used in small and medium-sized boilers to remove calcium and magnesium ions in the water, thereby reducing the scale production in the boiler, reducing the corrosion of water measuring metals, and extending the service life of the boiler. The results show that zeolite can be used for recycling after the concentrated saline solution is regenerated.
2. Activated zeolite is a natural zeolite that is activated by various special processes. Compared with natural zeolites, they have stronger adsorption performance and better ion exchange performance. It can not only remove turbidity, color and odor in water, but also remove harmful heavy metals in water. For example, chromium, cadmium, nickel, zinc, mercury, iron ions, and organic substances have adsorption and exchange effects, and are also conducive to the removal of various micro-pollutants in water. The water extract does not contain toxic and harmful human substances. The removal effect of iron and fluorine in water is better. Therefore, activated zeolite is a new type of ideal filter material for industrial water supply, wastewater treatment and tap water filtration.
