1.Density

PP cotton filter is generally relatively loose outer layer, the inner layer is close, composed of gradual diameter gradually tight multilayer gradient structure (unique gradient deep filtration formed a three-dimensional filter slag effect, with high porosity, high rejection rate, large sewage, large flow, low-pressure drop characteristics). Each layer of this multilayer structure traps and stores impurities in the water, and the many layers add up to a large amount of contamination. We can also see from the side of the PP cotton, see the outer layer by layer is clearer, the inner layer is more compact, layer and layer have adhered together.

2. Size

The length of 10 inches PP cotton filter is 254mm, but its inner and outer diameter size will be different, the general outer diameter range is 60-65mm, the inner diameter range is 28-30mm. If the outer diameter is too large, the bottle may not fit. If the outer diameter is too small, it may cause the water without filtration to flow directly into the water end of PP cotton. If the inner diameter is too large, many impurities may not be filtered out; if the inner diameter is too small, the effluent may be too slow. Therefore, in the selection of suitable PP cotton, we must pay attention to whether the internal and external diameter size of PP cotton is between 60-65mm and 28-30mm as we say.

3.Tactile

Good PP cotton surface feels very soft and uniform, there will be no foreign body and hard feeling. Careful users may find that the surface of PP cotton is not the same, some are smoother, some will have a lot of small grooves, there is also a grain of PP cotton.

So these surface different PP cotton in quality is not good or bad? Generally speaking, the PP cotton with grooves and grooves increases the specific surface area and can increase the amount of dirt. Groove surface is easier to let impurities fall off, will not stick to PP cotton, to a certain extent also increased the service life of PP cotton.

4.Weight

About the weight of PP cotton, generally in 125-130 grams is more appropriate, that is to say, this weight can not only ensure the removal of a large number of impurities in the water but also make the service life of the filter element relatively long. Compared with the pp cotton filter element of other weight, it has higher cost performance.

5.Hardness

Usually the greater the fiber density of the filter element, the better the hardness, and the better the quality of the filter element. Consumers can pinch the filter core, if you can clearly feel the filter core is pinched flat, indicating that the filter core hardness is not enough, the quality is very general.

In the replacement of PP cotton filter elements need to pay attention to the problem

After a long time of use, the filter element should be replaced. When the length of the filter element to be replaced is insufficient, the method of adding a rubber pad can be used to solve the problem.

When placing the filter element, we should also pay attention to putting the filter element in the right position. When twisting the filter bottle, if the screw does not move, do not screw hard. We should unscrew the filter bottle and put the filter element in the right position again, so as not to damage the filter element.

The filter element must be washed first after installation, and then it can be connected to the system behind it. The general flushing time should be more than 5 minutes.
